Update NAF cache threshold dynamically

KLSOPTNF is an excellent tool for investigating which sessions are being started and by whom, and is a lot faster than using SMF data from tape for the NAF reporting tool.

Recently we upgraded our largest Supersession instances to v310, and after these had been running a week on the new version, we noticed the following output, which indicates the NAF cache threshold has been reached.

2024.080 11:24:07.52 KLSOPTNF CL/SuperSession V-logon to XYZ0CICS for SDSAB.+VAVACGI
2024.080 11:24:07.52 KLSOPTNF
2024.080 11:24:07.52 KLSOPTNF ********************************************
2024.080 11:24:07.52 KLSOPTNF NAF cache threshold reached (65535)
2024.080 11:24:07.52 KLSOPTNF ********************************************
2024.080 11:24:07.52 KLSOPTNF

Once the threshold is reached, KLSOPTNF output will no longer appear in the TLVLOG until Supersession is restarted.

It is possible to update the NAF cache threshold, which by default is set to 65 535, however this update requires a restart of the Supersession address space.

We would like to request the possibility of being able to adjust the NAF cache threshold dynamically.
