With regulatory compliance requirements growing every day, many IBM customers are asking for more comprehensive audit trails of origin IP addresses through TN3270 connections, especially those that include session managers. While there is some good auditing in place when the session manager and target PLU both reside on the same z/OS system, there is a significant gap when SuperSession is operating in relay mode and the PLU resides on another z/OS system. The CVx64 data provided by VTAM contains the needed origin IP address information, but that information is not forwarded on to the PLU in relay mode. This requirement is for SuperSession to forward the CVx64 data to the PLU using the VTAM SETLOGON START API as described here: https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/zos/2.5.0?topic=program-supplying-control-vectors-setlogon-start.
