Ability to add TIMEOUT to an existing VSM pool

We would like to have the ability add a timeout value to an pre-existing VSM pool where TIMEOUT was previously not set dynamically.

Currently the only way to add a TIMEOUT value, is to delete the existing VSM pool using VSM DELETE and recreate the pool again with VSM DEFINE command with the TIMEOUT parameter. This means any active users of the VSM pool will have their session terminated, and is therefore disruptive.

Adding this functionality would allow us to perform dynamic non-disruptive updates to VSM pools.

Based on our current plans and priorities it is not likely that this will be implemented in the next 12 months and so it is being declined at this point. The requirement will be kept in the system and might be reassessed in the future. You also have an opportunity to resubmit in twelve months time if you wish it to be reconsidered then.
