Need load balancing algorithms as round Robbin on IPIC connections to multiple CICS regions working with CICS TG for Multiplatforms in local mode on WAS AIX

We require load balancing using the round-robin algorithm for IPIC connections to multiple backend CICS TXSeries regions from WebSphere AIX application servers, leveraging CTG in local mode.

A similar request was submitted under idea CTG-I-112 on 21/02/2022, concerning CICS TG for z/OS. We are requesting this feature because we use the custom property xasupport=on, which is supported on JEE application servers only in local mode to connect to CICS servers via the IPIC protocol.

We believe that CICS TG for Multiplatform should offer the same capabilities as CICS TG for z/OS when using the IPIC protocol.

    Hi,

Thank you for taking time to raise this idea. However, there are architectural differences between CICS TG for z/OS and CICS TG for multiplatforms in terms of XA support, multiple instances on same LPAR, workload management etc. This is mainly due to underlying platform differences between z/OS and distributed systems like Unix, Linux. That is why they are separate PIDs/ part numbers, effectively two separate offerings. Hence we are unable to accept this RFE.

    Thank you.
