WAS z/OS - IPIC local - CICS

We are using CICS TG in local mode form WAS with IPIC connections to CICS TS, with TCP/IP load balancing using VIPA on the IPIC connection but we are having some problems with it. We have opened this PMR and IBM stated in PMR 86736,211,788 that the load balancing on the IPIC connections between the CICS TG side and CICS TS is not supported and never has been. We would like to use it because it will provide high availability for the applications when using this connection. This has been already implemented for CTG Deamon.

    This RFE requires changes in standard IPIC protocol. IPIC protocol standard is driven by CICS TS. Hence this requirement has a tight dependency on CICS TS IPIC implementation. CICS TS team does not have plans to implement these IPIC changes in near future and so this requirement is being declined at this point. The requirement will be kept in the RFE system and might be reassessed in the future. You also have an opportunity to resubmit in twelve months time if you wish it to be reconsidered then.
