Route Cobol DISPLAY data to DEBUG Log

Users have has requested that Cobol Display data (SYSOUT) be routed to the Debug Tool Log, where it is visible when testing. Apparently one of their error routines will display data, and at that point they wish to take an action. However, this is not visible via the Debug Log data.

    The support is available. The command is SET INTERCEPT ON and the output is routed to the debug console. For MFI you can use the SET INTERCEPT ON CONSOLE command and the output is routed to the log. It is more limited than the support available with the plug-in.

    Apparently there is more information requested for this request. COBOL provides a DISPLAY verb, which is used frequently to display the status of errors and other items. A question I have been asked is "How do we display this information in the Debug Tool log?". I researched the publications, but could not find a way to do so.
