Concatenate LPAR specific DSN in front of SEQATLIB

We are a large shop where we have the Debug tool set up in over 100 test regions. The test regions are on over 20 lpars. There is one IBM Debug SMPE environment for all lpars. Maintenance for the Debug Tool is shipped from this central site and installed with the monthly IPLs.

For the Debug BTS set up we have to define a SEQAZDSYS member that includes each IMS ID. Since the limit is 12, that is impossible to do in our environment. Plus, we would not want to do this even if it was possible. Listing over 100 test region in the BTS panel would confuse our users. Unfortunately, some of our IMS region id's are not unique. Also since each IMS region could have it's own EABMPSM, EQADBBSM, EQADLISM members, there would be maintenance issues if we maintained all to these versions in the SMPE.

We feel it would be much easier to maintain, less confusing, and faster to update if there was a lpar specific data set that is not SMPE controlled and is accessed before the SMPE SEQATLIB version. Our problem would be resolved if Debug Tool would allow a data set to be accessed before the SEQATLIB version. A concatenation would resolve our problem.

    Thank you for taking the time to suggest an enhancement to our product. Many of our product enhancements result from feedback from our customers, so your input is always very important to us. However, your request for enhancement is not currently aligned with our product strategy and vision and we have no plans to address your request in the near future. Again, thank you for your suggestion and continued support.

    This feature currently exists in MFI, but does not exist in remote UI. Closing as delivered. If there is a new request to have this feature in remote UI, please create a new enhancement request. Thanks.
