Debug 3270 IMS application with personal TFORMAT lib in the concatenation

In the DBB zAppbuild framework for CI/CD a developer can perform a user build on both Cobol sources and MFS sources. In case of Cobol sources this leads to the creation of a load module on a personal load library and in case of an MFS, it leads to the creation of formats members on a personal TFORMAT library.

In case a developer needs to create of change a 3270 IMS MPP it is logicall that he should be able to use both personal libraries in a z/OS Debugger session.

We had a look at the options that can be set in the ‘Remote IMS Application with Isolation' debug configuration via z/OS debugger in IDz and it is possible to use a personal load lib as first library in the concatentation. But for personal TFORMAT libraries there is no solution. The only format libraries that are used is the standard concatenation of the general TFORMAT library and FORMAT A or FORMAT B libraries as determined in the IMS control region.

Would it be possible to enhance z/OS Debugger so that we can also use a personal TFORMAT library that is concatenated before the standard IMS (T)FORMAT libraries?

    Why was this request closed?
    You mentioned that it is possible to debug with a personal TFORMAT lib via BTS.
    We know this is possible and we mentioned this in the business case. But the request was for an enhancement to the z/OS debugger.
