Post your ideas
  1. Post an idea.

  2. Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.

LIST STORAGE ( R13, 64 ) ; Monitor view shows confusing data

LIST STORAGE ( R13, 64 ) ;
results in:
1F60B718    00028C28 00000000 00FDCF98 00000000      *...........q....*
1F60B728    00000000 00000000 00000000 1F60B258      *.............-..*
1F60B738    1F60B8D0 9F6C54C4 9F6753D8 1F60B830      *.-...%.D...Q.-..*
1F60B748    1F60B800 1F60B38C 1F761D48 1F585A78      *.-...-........Ü.*
but the address contained in R13 is X'28C28', not 1F60B718.
The same will be seen in the GUI mode.
Mark any register in the source, i.e. REG13 -> select Monitor Memory ->
select Raw Hex or Raw Hex and Char: A memory Window is opened showing a
an address which is unknown to the programmers, and somewhere in the
displayed storage, the good REG13 (or whatever Register) can be found.
Whereas for 3270 a another command can be used, like
LIST STORAGE ( R13 -> + 0, 16 ), there is nothing equivalent for GUI.

    This requirement has been re-assessed. It is not likely that this will be implemented in the next 1-2 years and so it is being declined at this point. The requirement will be kept in the RFE system and might be reassessed in the future. You also have an opportunity to resubmit in twelve months time if you wish it to be reconsidered then.
