Select only today's abends

I am trying to use the MATCH command in the view creation to select the most recent entries, such as today's, hoping it will limit the amount of required storage.
Example of view :
* Vue de mes abends
DELAHAY.IDI.HIST
ADTCFG.IDI.HIST
* My own entries
-Match(User_id DELA* )
-Match(Date 2013/02/18)

It works fine if I hard code the date.
It would be easier if I could use a variable instead.

In the User's Guide, I read a reference to a variable names TODAY in the batch utility (IDIUTIL).

This value does not work with Match.

    Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
    Brand - Servers and Systems Software
    Product family - Development Tooling
    Product - IBM Fault Analyzer

    For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
    Brand - WebSphere
    Product family - Enterprise Tooling
    Product - IBM Fault Analyzer

    We have implemented in V12 a TODAY option for a view MATCH command which can be used in date fields  e.g.

     -MATCH(User_id SIM*,  MD_PAGES %*, Date TODAY)

    It should be noted however that this option will not directly effect the storage usage of the Fault Entry list display as it is conceptually a post-display filter.
