User exit to provide different History file name

I know that users can have Fault Analyzer write to a user history dataset using the IDIHIST DD statement, but I would like to be able to code a user exit which allows the customer instruct Fault Analyzer to use a specific history file when creating fault entries. This exit should allow the customer to specify a unique history file dataset name for Fault Analyzer to use when preparing to create a fault entry, based on criteria such as jobname, submitting user ID, program name, etc.

    Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
    Brand - Servers and Systems Software
    Product family - Development Tooling
    Product - IBM Fault Analyzer

    For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
    Brand - WebSphere
    Product family - Enterprise Tooling
    Product - IBM Fault Analyzer

    Either the Fault Analyzer END or CONTROL exits can be used to do this.  These exits have access to a variety of information relating to the job/task being analyzed and can set the history file data set name accordingly.  I have included a very simple example below.  These exits and the related data areas are discussed in the FA users guide.

    /* REXX */

    HistFile = '.DEFAULT.HISTORY'

    If Left(ENV.JOB_NAME,2) = 'HR' Then
      HistFile = '.HR.HISTORY'

    If Left(ENV.EXEC_PGM_NAME,4,'BILL' Then
      HistFile = '.BILLING.HISTORY'

    ENV.IDIHIST = HistFile

    EXIT 0
