The operating environments for FA and IPCS are not compatible in as much that we have our internal minidump page mechanism vs SVC dump for IPCS. As such invoking IPCS from within FA is not possible. That said, although the command names may be different some of the IPCS functionality has an FA equivalent e.g. SHOW in FA vs LIST in IPCS.
I tried the LIST command in FA the other day, and was quite disappointed that it could not be used as a line command, but required a REXX exit. What I am looking for, is similar access as what is in Abend Aid - a choice to go into IPCS from the menu, and then be able to enter any IPCS command
We tried to use the LIST command today and got "Invalid LIST command". Opened SR 32796,122,000 to investigate.
would like to see a choice named 'IPCS commands', and then allow any normal VERBX commands entered into the command line
Some of the commands available to a FA formatting user exit are the same name, and function, as in IPCS, for example EVALUATE and LIST. Please can you give a list of other commands that would be helpful.
