This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM Z Software products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

Hi James,
As you have said FA needs to make a RACF call to ensure a viable environment for analysis. You have also said that SDSF is performing security checks that Vanguard is not picking up on/recording so please could you provide some more details on these ? Presumably these are not data set access request so are they another RACF class that Vanguard is configured to ignore ? It might be possible to change our RACF validity check to another RACF class but my immediate concern here is that in so doing we cause security logging for other customers that are currently not seeing anything. Can Vanguard be configured to ignore this specific data set name ?
Adrian
Hi James,
I'm sorry about the lack of information - I neglected to add a particular "tag" that mean my update text didn't flow back to you. My update was as follows:
Hi,
Please can you provide some more details on what is actually being logged and what your security product is ? I ask as the RACROUTE call made for this data set has LOG=NONE specified. I think ACF2, for example, has the ability to effectively overwrite this LOG=NONE setting which is therefore obviously out of our control.
Thanks
Adrian Simcock
I see the status is marked as "Need More Information". However, in reviewing the RFE I do not see what infromation you need.
