FM/Base segmented data enhancements

Most IRS templates are segmented records with complicated logic. Applicability of specific segments depends on the presence/absence of certain prior segments and on the values within those segments. To capture the logic of such inter-segment dependencies IBM enhanced the standard File manager capabilities to include Related ID (RID) criteria. However, as implemented the RID functionality is limited to conditions that can be expressed as a logical AND function of several clauses, each of which is a logical expression build using values of only one prior segment.

    In version 11 the capability to OR related ID and the provision of two builtin functions SEGCNT() and SEGNO() should have addressed the identification issues raised in this requirement.
