Provide a keyword available on the Edit and View panels to launch a new panel, which formats the first record key.

Quest Diagnostics has very large IAM files, with large keys containing packed decimal fields. They have to use hexadecimal representation to locate a record at this time. ISV products provide a panel to perform key positioning.

Some copybooks or templates may have multiple redfines, thus multiple key values available. I suggest we use the first one, unless a second parameter to the keyword is provided. For example

KEY would provide the panel with the existing key, formatted using the first 01 level.
KEY 3 would provide a panel with the existing key, formatted using the third 01 level.

A panel similar to the one below, would be helpful to provide a specific key as a start position. Note, the binary and hex fields are converted. This is very useful for large files.

 ---- FIELD LEVEL/NAME ------- -FORMAT- ----+----1----+----2----+----3----+-
 5 BIP4-RECORD-KEY              14/GRP
   10 BIP4-LEGAL-ENT             3/AN   ATL
   10 BIP4-CLIENT-NO             5/PS   7015020
   10 BIP4-LAB-NO                4/PS   4267
   10 BIP4-SEQUENCE              2/PS   5

If the copy book or template were not provided, I suggest we format the key in Character or Hexadecimal mode.

Formatted key positioning was made available with apar PM34376 on V11. This introduced a FKEY command when in an edit session, and the ability to specify a formatted key before entering an edit session
