Allow users to override HALDB names using a DFSHALDB DD statement.

With IMS FileManager the application staff can view and change data within the IMS databases. Today (pre HALDB database use) they create their own personal copies of the databases to work through issues or to force situations to make sure that their code can handle certain situations. Then after the batch test has run, they will also use IMS FileManager to review the status of the data. To do this, they overtype the DSN name for the database in the IMS FileManager screens.

When they use a HALDB they can not overtype the DSN.

Today, all HALDBs are registered in RECONs. If you use a DD statement it has to match the RECON information. That is why File Manager/IMS collects the HALDB dataset names from the RECONs. The only way to change the dataset names for HALDBs would be to register
them in another copy of the RECONs.
