Browsing data in SNGL mode issue

Browsing data in SNGL mode issue -- It appears when browsing a file in SNGLE mode and you come across a record with no template, it keeps the previous template on the screen. Not sure if this behavior is expected, but it appears others have this issue judging from this PFT I found online http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg1PK09579. Thanks!

1) Browsing in-house Copy Book Template OT800 using FM without the SHOW ALL option
2) Browse the same data with the SHOW ALL option
3) Now if the user has to browse this data in a SNGL format , the copybook did not match for the first row , I get this
4) It picked the immediate next copybook and used it for formatting this row. FILEAID we used to get an error saying that the map was not found, which was easy to understand
5) FM also has a "Record not Selected" message on top , but it using the copybook underneath is causing confusion.

This is working as designed. If you have SHOW NOT ON or SHOW ALL ON and are viewing data in SNGL mode then we will format the not selected lines with the currently selected layout. It does indicate the record is not selected - currently we don't have a character SNGL (non Zoom display) - so if you see record not selected and wants it unformatted then FC and zoom to get a single char display of the not selected record.

Other options may be to have a default 01 layout with a big char field - could not mapped - with no criteria and these would fall into that layout. That may be more obvious to you when browsing.

This RFE has not been addressed in years is it still an issue, the workaround to have a a default layout we would have thought should suffice. If not what behavior are you requesting.

Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
Brand - Servers and Systems Software
    Product family - Development Tooling
    Product - IBM File Manager

For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
    Brand - WebSphere
    Product family - Enterprise Tooling
    Product - IBM File Manager
