VSAM function in IBM File Manager

System: Product File Manager form zOS

Description:
We would like to see an enhancement to the IBM File Manager VSAM/DISK panels. We would like to see more information on VSAM datasets, and specifically the percent utilized amounts that IBM uses for KSDS. Example HURBA/HARBA * 100 will give us a very accurate percent utilized which lets us know when we are taking our next extents.

Were you looking at the data and index component as that will be true for the cluster name - just make sure you have ** as a suffix on the data set name. If the statistic is zero for the data and index components then please raise pmr as this should not be the case.

On my RMM KSDS VSAM dataset when looking at the %HIUSED in option 3.4 my RMM CDS shows a zero (0), so that is not correct.

On the File Manager option 3.4 display we have columns including %HIUSED which is the High Used RBA (KB)/High Alloc RBA (KB) * 100. You may have to page right to see it. You can use the TA (abbreviation for TAILOR) command to change the order of the columns on that display so that column is viewable without paging right. Is that the figure you require?
