This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM Z Software products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

This issue is fixed using the MEMORY option with FCH. It will not be supported for DSEB. See APAR PH52467 for FM Version 14 and APAR PH52661 for FM Version 15. After these are applied the usage of the MEMORY=YES option will ensure the FCH function with and without a PROC statement work with compressed data sets. Given FCH with a PROC will provide the equivalent of DSEB or DSU processing - we regard this requirement as having been delivered with the above maintenance.
I can no longer see the status, may I have the current status?
Even if compressed data sets are not available for the FCH function, I think user requirements would be satisfied if a message stating that SMS compressed data sets are not available is output at the time of JOB ABEND, as is the case with operations from the panel, so could you please consider this?
