Develop the functionality in File Manager to choose the encoding with a file should be downloaded to a PC through its export to desktop function

BBVA is a very important global bank with operations in Spain, Mexico, Turkey, Colombia, Peru, Argentina, etc. BBVA is the largest bank in Mexico, employing over one thousand of mainframe developers. These developers use IBM Developer for z for their development process of new programs and maintenance of thousands of programs. During their development, maintenance and testing process it is necessary and very important to download files to their laptops using File Manager. It is crucial that these files are encoded correctly on the PC, particularly for Spanish, which includes various special characters that require proper encoding.   This need for correct encoding is important not only for BBVA Mexico but also for all its subsidiaries in various countries.

    We are now looking into the RFE...From the description and case on IBM SF, it seems that what is required is the exported files from File Manager, should be such that when they are imported back they should retain correct hex for special characters in Spanish. So we are now trying to enhance the import functionality to retain the correctness of HEX characters while doing import. Let us know if there is any difference in our thinking.
