Single SingOn for HATS WEB connections. We need it for MIDAS Core banking SSO

Problem description: We are using a WebSphere based banking application Midas Bank Fusion (from MISYS). User do connect to WAS using browser. WAS is using IBM-I for authentication and Host Access Transformation Services (HATS) to integrate with 5250 terminal sessions on an IBM i server, We have implemented Kerberos based single sign on with our IBM i 5250 interactive applications. We understand that WebSphere supports Kerberos based authentication using SPNEGO. But there does not appear to be a Kerberos based single sign on capability with HATS and IBM i. We have researched the HATS Web Express Logon (WEL) capability. It appears that is only for the mainframe 3270 environment. We would like to have WEL support the IBM i 5250 environment.

    We have evaluated this request and determined that it cannot be implemented at this time because of lack of technical feasibility.
