End of support NPAPI

Firefox has recently announced that it will be dropping its NPAPI (Netscape Plugin Application Programming Interface) plugin support by the end of 2016. Microsoft dropped NPAPI support in its Edge browser in Windows 10. Google Chrome has dropped NPAPI in September. Since there will not be any mainstream, actively maintained browser that can handle this plugin, we at SERPRO (Servi?o Federal de Processamento de Dados) request an immediate substitution of the applet technology currently in use by IBM?s Host On-Demand(HOD). Most of our customers use HOD, and all will be significantly affected if NPAPI is not substituted by another technology that is actively supported by these browsers.
Thank you very much in advance

This feature was delivered in version 13.0. There are multiple solutions to it. Either use the HOD Webstart client OR the HACP EE zero footprint client.

The feature that is described in this request is a candidate for a future release. In general, the intention is to make use of Java Web Start as is recommended.
