Can Hourglass programs be defined with API(OPEN).

With the current Hourglass CICS program definitions it is possible that
they will generate significant numbers of TCB swaps for each access to
CICS timing facilities once the application programs are defined as
Threadsafe ( API(OPEN) )

Find the additional information:
Please find the below answers to the Questions.

- Does the same problem not happen when Hourglass is not active ?
Application program's are still not converted to threadsafe. And the
region in which they are planning to test threadsafe do not use
hourglass.

- Why is the number of TCB swaps a problem ?
When application program is defined as threadsafe from Non-Threadsafe
there will be TCB swaps.which was the concern. Also Hourglass program
AGGCC is defined as below
COncurrency : Quasirent
Api : Cicsapi
So need consent that if this program can be changed Concurrency to
Threadsafe and Api to OpenApi.

- Which Hourglass programs are involved ?
Transaction(HGCB) with Program (AGGCC) is invoked during the Day light
saving.

- Are these transactional CICS command programs we provide which
include HGCC/HGUC/HGSC/HGAD/HGAE etc.. as opposed to CICS time requests
themselves ?
Below are defined in the CICS region

Based on our current plans and priorities it is not likely that this will be implemented in the next 12 months and so it is being declined at this point. The requirement will be kept in the RFE system and might be reassessed in the future. You also have an opportunity to resubmit in twelve months time if you wish it to be reconsidered then.

Hi, Not sure what response is being asked for in the latest question. It might be helpful to rephrase the question.
