Whilst this requirement is valid, based on our current plans and priorities, it is not likely that this could be implemented in the next 12 months. Correspondingly this requirement is being declined at this point. The requirement will be kept in the RFE system and might be reassessed in the future. You also have an opportunity to resubmit in twelve months time if you wish it to be reconsidered then.

We received an updated request description from the customer and reopened this RFE for further research.
Description:
Please add support Time and Day intercepts for address space running under USS. Specifically to intercept the C time.h & sys/time.h functions that SAP Central Services uses.
Also add support to time travel the z/OS Simple Network Time Protocol server to allow Hourglass and the System Z to supply the time travel time to client servers thus ensure all clocks are in sync with each other
Use case: We run SAP Central Services on z/OS in USS. However, to allow SAP time travel testing we have had to move these Central Services to run under AIX as USS is not supported by Hourglass.
This compromises the Time Travel testing and brings in a risk the testing is not 100% valid as the systems are not like for like. Also competitor products have this capability.
We do not certify support for 3rd party applications such as SAP. Java support is on the roadmap. If the application uses a combination of Java and other supported time / date calls it may work with future Java support.
