KVM Storage Migration Support Enhancement

IBM Cloud Infrastructure Center (ICIC) does not currently provide a supported approach for migrating storage in environments running KVM. This limitation becomes a barrier when attempting to transition from one FlashSystem backend to another, as the existing design does not allow KVM hosts to participate in multiple storage partitions during a migration.

This creates challenges for customers who need to refresh or reorganize their storage platforms, since there is no straightforward or supported path to move workloads to a new backend without disruption. As a result, standard storage lifecycle operations cannot be carried out in KVM-based ICIC deployments.

Reequesting an enhancement that introduces a supported migration workflow for KVM environments. Currently, no viable workaround exists, and initial testing of potential approaches is unable to proceed.
