Database Development - Exporting SQL results into .xls file instead of .cvs

When I export SQL results, one of the options is to export into .cvs file. As soon as I open this file in Windows Excel and modify, I am being prompted to convert it into .xls file in order to save all functionality. Why not to export into .xls file in a first place?

    Request has been transferred to the data studio queue.

    RDz is dependent on data studio to provide this functionality. We have opened this request on their queue (RIMS # R2PRO00008496) and is being evaluated for delivery in a future release. We will continue to monitor the request there and once it is provided within data studio, it will be delivered through a RDz release. Thanks.
