RELATED IDEAS

Extend User Builds under RDz additionally to other languages, not only Cobol and PL1

You can run a User Build for COBOL and PL/I from RDZ, but NOT for other type of tranlators that can exists in RTC for the host, as assembler, IBM Migration Utility, CA EasyTreave, etc.

This has an important limitation that this solution is not valid as a global/unique solution for the host development, requiring different products/approaches to solve the common scenarios of zOS developments in the Customers' installations.

    Thank you for taking the time to suggest an enhancement to our product. Many of our product enhancements result from feedback from our customers, so your input is always very important to us; However, your request for enhancement is not currently aligned with our product strategy and vision and we have no plans to address your request in the near future. Again, thank you for your suggestion and continued support.

    We need RDz user builds to support all RTC Build Definitions regardless of languages they contain. The ability to parse and generate correct JCL should take precedence over other "nice to have" features. The user can always check the JES log for output related to their submitted build. It would be nice to remove this restriction so people can use this feature with RTC.
