This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM Z Software products. Shape the future of IBM!

We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:

Search existing ideas

Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,

Post your ideas
  1. Post an idea.

  2. Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.

  3. Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

Toggle new Comment in JCL Editor

The function "Toggle Comment Continuation" (Ctrl+/)
in the jcl editor inserts a character (*) on position 72
so that the comment can continue the next line (line beginning with // + one space)

it works fine but it is not the recommended way for inserting comment:
(from a JCL book) The comment continuation is very confusing, and may lead to JCL error
or the comment not being seen. It is recommended that you use
several comment statements entered in sequence, because this is much to read.
Therefore, the customer would like a "Toggle new comment" shortcut in the JCL editor
