db2 explain of embedded sql

When developing PL1 or Cobol programs in rdz, containing embedded sql, we would like to have a feature that allows us to perform a DB2(running on z/os)explain of the statement.

We have looked into OSC as a tool and this is an option if proper integration with rdz is offered. (i.e. using existing db2 connection if one exists etc.)
