Bring the Host Connection Emulator HCE back into IDz. Its just better than RCE. Our developers are used to HCE and what it offers. RCE is just not at its level and therefore the developers won't switch to IDz 16.0 unless the HCE is in there.

    There are several essential problems. Here some of them:

    1. The font is very inconvenient. Please use HCE's font.

    2. The margins are too wide and the text becomes too compressed. You need to use the entire width of the screen to make it comfortable to work. Enlarging the view to full screen is not a solution, because we still need to use other views.

    3. There was a fix released in latest version to display screens with background colors (HILITE), but it didn't fix all cases.

    4. Keyboard keys configuration is very limited. Not all keys can be configured. We cannot distinguish between big Enter key (usually uses as New Line), and the NumPad Enter key (usually uses as Enter). We cannot configure '~' key, etc.

    5. Because of the different font, frames are displayed distorted.

    6. Colors are sometimes different than they should be.

    We're striving to improve RCE and enable users to have a seamless experience when transitioning from HCE to RCE and are continuously adding features to bridge the gaps. What areas or functionality of RCE are lacking that we are currently not fulfilling that HCE was able to do?

    I cannot specify the LU when setting up the connection which is essential in our shop to access a CICS region. Without that, I basically have to use PCOMM for this purpose.

    Significant performance degradation in RCE vs HCE.
    Top controls banner reduces real estate for the window which is already at a premium.
    No context menu for cut and paste, etc.
