Provide the ability to switch users from within a Remote Systems Explorer session

We currently have 2 levels of authorization for several of our software products...one for use on a day to day basis by users and another that is used for more critical/protected functionality like deployments and system configurations.

To accomplish today, we can do the day to day work under our IDs but when we need to perform these higher authorization functions, we have to open a USS shell, issue the su command and then perform any of these activities via the command line interface in the shell.

It would be a great increase in productivity and simplify our processes if there was a mechanism in RSE to perform the switch user command and then perform the higher authorization tasks via the GUI interfaces as we can under our personal ids.

    Thanks for the reply, Jason.

Just to provide some additional details on the idea, there is no way to directly log in to the ID that we are using the su command to switch to. It is a protected functional id that does not have an associated password...so setting up a separate connection would not be workable.

If there is a way to set up a connection to perform the su as part of the login process and you can direct me to that documentation, that would be great.

Thank you for taking the time to suggest an enhancement to our product. Many of our product enhancements result from feedback from our customers, so your input is always very important to us. Although this is a valid request, there is an existing way to address this idea by having separate logins on different connections. Therefore, it would not be a high priority to implement in a timely manner. Again, thank you for your suggestion and continued support.
