Add ability to export multiple database connections from Data Studio and import into DB2 for z/OS Connections

State Farm has at least 25 or more database connections configured in Data Studio. The ability to export and import into IDz DB2 for z/OS Connections was added and is very helpful.
Imports are one at a time, however.
It would be helpful if several or all of the connections could be highlighted and exported and imported as one.

We recently delivered an enhancement where a yaml file of host connections can be defined. And upon start up of a new workspace, those defined connections will be automatically added to the workbench. An unlimited amount of connections can be defined in the yaml. This yaml file can be distributed to developers to enable them the same default connections on startup.

Please see this for more details: https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/developer-for-zos/17.0.x?topic=zos-host-connection-configuration-file-p2-installations

Would that meet your needs with this Idea?

We have over 100 connections.  When doing file import from Data studio or IDZ 15.0.X  you have to go line by line  clicking select suggest a z/os connection you can than  and entering the z/os connection name in the remote zos connection.  This has to be repeated for each connection listed.  It does not import the location (zos) name.  see attachments.

Thank you for submitting this idea. Based on your description, it sounds like the functionality you're looking for might be already implemented in the latest release of IDz 16 and 17.

If a Data Studio workspace has 25 configured connections, users can export all of them into a single XML file. When this file is imported into IDz, the wizard guides the user through importing all 25 connections in one streamlined process.

Please refer to the following for more information:

If there are 25 connections configured for a Data Studio workspace, users do have the ability to export all 25 connections in a single XML file.  Then when importing this single XML file into IDz, the wizard will walk the user through importing all 25 connections.
