Default/global filter expansion value

When setting up custom filters within the Remote Systems pane, it would be very convenient for there to be a setting to allow you to set the default expansion amount for new filters.

Currently, all new filters have an expansion value of 50, so anytime you search for a dataset member the filter expands to show the next 49 members. I personally find this to be too much and generally limit filters to only expand to 12. However, to do this I have to manually set this value for each new filter I create.

    Thank you for taking the time to suggest an enhancement to our product. Many of our product enhancements result from feedback from our customers, so your input is always very important to us.

    We have a few solutions that might resolve your RFE idea.

    1. To limit the number of items in a SPECIFIC filter, you can right click the filter, and set the number of items under Expansion (see attached image.png).

    2. To limit the number of items for ALL filters, you can navigate to Preferences > Remote Systems > z/OS > MVS Files, and set the number of items shown under "Default expansion page size for filters and data sets" (see image2.png).
