sysout depth when job active

when a job is still running,the sysout's depth in RDz is no as big as in SDSF. In case of batch old style's tracing (like a Display every 1000 records read or written), you cannot see if the pgm is still running correctly)

    simple....imagine an old style batch pgm reading 1.000.000 records and displaying every 500 records something like "last records read = xxx (xxx = record's number). While the pgm is running, the ser will check the job's SYSPRINT in SDSF (refreshing the output regularly). The customer would like to do exactly the same in RDz/JMON.     This RFE is consistent with our strategy and product roadmap and IBM is continuing to evaluate.

    If this is for FMI I need to understand in more detail what task are you executing, for example Formatted Editor, Template Editor a Utility.
    Is this client FMI tracing or FMI server tracing.
    The more information we can get to understand this requirement the quicker we can make an assessment
