1 question. Will this change work in an ongoing session in the editor? Line by line as you code along? With this LPex option selected the uppercasing will happen automatically as you continue to work in the editor in COBOL or JCL, as you type each line and then hit enter to go to the next line, the line you just finished will be uppercased with the exception of any text that was placed with quotes.

This would be in addition having the option of uppercasing several lines or the whole source in an existing source member?

Before we implemented this RFE we wanted to get your feedback on what we are actually planning to do. To be consistent with other editors and formatting experience, here is what we are planning to do...
    1. Add a new context menu 'Source --> Upper Case' for COBOL files being edited using System z LPEX editor in RDz
    2. Based on the selection, the capitalization will be applied to either a line or multiple lines selected. ,
Note: The capitalization of all the selected source would occur for key words, reserved words, etc., but leaving the strings inside quotes untouched. Similar to RDi.
    3. If nothing is selected and the new context menu 'Source --> Upper Case' is selected then it would behave like Java editor, and all the source code in the file gets the capitalization treatment.
