This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM Z Software products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

This RFE was delivered in RDz/IBM Developer for z/OS V9.5.
Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
Brand - Servers and Systems Software
Product family - Programming Languages
Product - Developer for System z
For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
Brand - Rational
Product family - Design & development
Product - Developer for System z
The feature that is described in this request is a candidate for a future release.
Looks like this feature has been in the works for some time? Will be we seeing it added in a 9.1 release? This is something we could really use. Job completion notifications are a basic function of ISPF that is not replicated in any way in RDz. From both a basic JCL submission standpoint and running CARMA jobs in batch (which is often necessary since CARMA can't compile DB2 access modules in the foreground) it is very annoying to have no indication a job has completed. You have to keep refreshing the JES pool instead of being able to just focus on continuing your work. The lack of the feature has been a major complaint here and I believe it has hurt the adoption of RDz at our company. We would really like to see this feature added in a RDz 9.1 release if possible. Thanks
Is this close to being committed (it has been 2 1/2 years since being accepted)? Since customer is required to run their DB2 "ADD/generates" in batch, the sub-project "CARMA re-association" is required for these batch actions. This already works in our environment, I guess because the batch job runs immediately.
For CARMA Endevor customers that work on their CARMA elements in MVS subprojects and run batch actions: Along with monitoring these CARMA Endevor batch actions, changing the "CARMA association" on MVS Subproject, when relevant, is also needed.
This RFE is consistent with our roadmap and is being considered for delivery in the next 2 year time frame. Thanks.
When you submit any request via CARMA server, you get a message saying that job has been successfully submitted, return code 0. I would like to see a job number, so I can monitor its execution. I would like to see maybe a pop up window with message similar to what takes place on mainframe - job name/number has been completed with return code xxxxx.
Can you please provide details on the particular jobs where you want this message to be implemented. Thanks.
