This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM Z Software products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

Menu Manager on local projects would only be able to access windows services. Most of the value of MenuManager is via accessing remote services such as JCL or CLIST submits according to customers. We would not be able to prioritize this request in the next two years based on priority so we are rejecting for now.
The most relevant use case is to be able to demonstrate the Menu Manager feature to potential clients during a demo of RDz when a mainframe connection is not available. If Menu Manager is not available on local projects, I do not see how that functionality can be exercised without a mainframe connection.
The demo would show how easy it is to add menu functions, for example opening a .cbl file in notepad and changing all occurrences of abc to xyz. Not likely that this specific menu item would be useful in a live environment, but it would serve as a basis for demonstrating the power of the Menu Manager functionality.
As we are considering this RFE, we need clarification on the exact menu manager scenario. Could you please provide us with an actual use case or scenario to help us better understand the menu manager support on local projects ? Thanks.
