This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM Z Software products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

1) Uncheck 'Refresh affects only direct children' did not work. Changing preferences did not change anything on the next startup (I checked preferences and they were saved).
2) My RAM does not get disconnected in between RDz sessions. Next time I start RDz I don't need to connect. I am connected. To manually do 'Refresh' (and only on the 'lowers' folder' is exactly what I don't want to do. In short, I don't have disconnected RAM at startup. The whole point that information that is presented at startup may not be accurate.
Can you please try the following workaround and let us know if this satisfies your request. Thanks.
1) Uncheck the "Refresh affects only direct children" CARMA preference. It is checked by default.
2) instead of selecting the "Connect" action for a disconnected RAM, select the "Refresh" action. The refresh will cause a connect to occur (if needed) and it will then refresh all of the children under the RAM.
