Limit number of JES jobs displayed in RDz for performance issues

When pulling back more than 100 or so jobs by creating a JES filter, the response time can be as great as 30 minutes for 1600 jobs, in spite of no CPU constraints when viewed in RMF or BMC Mainview performance monitoring tools.

There was a similar issues when expanding a dataset filter that would return a large number of datasets; this was resolved by limiting the number of datasets returned to something like 50 at a time and being able to view more by the user specifically clicking on "more".

Could you create this same functionality (again with a user configured and push-to-client value) to limit the number of JES jobs pulled back so we don't continue to see 5-10 and even 30 minute response times?

Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
Brand - Servers and Systems Software
    Product family - Programming Languages
Product - Developer for System z

For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
    Brand - Rational
Product family - Design & development
Product - Developer for System z

Another JCL related RFE that I consider a necessity. Not being mean, just really hope the ‘RDz specific solution' is not clunky.

Make the number of jobs limit a JES preference like line count for a SYSOUT and prompt the user if they want to return the first 'limit number' jobs, all jobs or cancel.

This RFE is consistent with our roadmap and is being considered for delivery in the next 2 year time frame. The implementation may not be exactly as requested in the RFE, but the end result would be to improve the performance. Thanks.
