Tool to auto correct COBOL code with EXEC SQL stmts that require period

Though there has been a requirement that EXEC SQL INCLUDE statements are to be terminated with a period, IBM never enforced this rule when the DB2 Preprocessor was released. As a result, many Users did not "properly" code their COBOL DB2 programs. With the advent of the DB2 Co-Processor in the Enterprise COBOL Compiler, the period MUST be used to terminate the EXEC SQL INCLUDE. As a result, there are MANY programs that can not be used with the Enterprise Compiler / DB2 Co-Processor. RDz only has error feedback (and some other functionality) when using the Enterprise Compiler with DB2 Co-Processor. As a result, these older COBOL programs can NOT take advantage of all of the RDz functionality. Discussions with the Lab indicate that a "tool" to insert the necessary periods is something that would be useful. Here at Verizon Wireless, this is critical for us to get this ASAP. We beleive that OTHER users would also certianly appreciate this sort of tool -- whcih will also enable brinigng code up to "spec" in a simple (almost painless) manner. This is needed ASAP.

Thank you for taking the time to suggest an enhancement to our product. Many of our product enhancements result from feedback from our customers, so your input is always very important to us. This request for enhancement is not currently aligned with our product strategy and vision and for this reason, we will not be implementing it. Again, thank you for your suggestion and continued support.
