This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM Z Software products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

No one can seem to tell me how to do this if it is deleivered. The Allocate like creates a file, yes. My problem is I have a data set on the PC. I need it copied to the Mainframe. It must have a lrecl of 100. When I do a copy paste it defaults to the size of the record on the PC making it 80. I never get an option to allocate like, on the copy from the PC. Allocate Like doesn't give me an option to get and build with a copy or record.
I would like to be able to select a data set on the PC or mainframe with a copy, then indicate a paste and be given the option to allocate like and control the LRECL. If this can be done, can you please provide documentation or direction of how to do it.
This functionality is provided by Allocate Like feature within RDz. Thanks.
