Support for DLI or DBB batch regions to get PSB/DBD metadata from IMS staging directory.

Hi,

We have quarterly releases where we bring down IMS and run our database change reorgs. While our IMS systems were non managed ACBs, our multi step reorgs run IC and unloads using metadata from DBDLIB.CURR and reload, index builder and post IC runs using metadata from DBDLIB.NEW. We have these reorgs suites run without manual intervention. Now we have enabled IMS Managed ACBs across all our environments and leveraging IMS Active and Staging directories and slowly unplugging all the references to DBDLIB/PSBLIB/ACBLIB.

We have identified that we run DLI initialization program for new databases as part of reorg suites and we do not see the ability to replace DBDLIB.NEW with staging directory under IMS Managed ACB environment. As I said the suites are automated and no manual intervention as it is a tight window for release.

We need to mimic the same futures and functionality we had in non-managed ACB environment in managed ACB environment. We should have the ability to pass a parameter or SYSIN DD card to tell DLI or DBB batch region to look for IMS staging directory for metadata. In our case it can look for staging directory and if not found look for active directory also works.
