DDL DROP to cleanup staging directory, reset pending timestamp in header segment to zeros and delete the staging instance from IMS Catalog

Hi,

At the moment we need to run multiple steps/utilities to cleanup things from catalog and staging directory if you have to backout control blocks after staging them in staging directory and not proceeding with IMPORT command.

To do that:

1) cleanup staging directory - manually delete members

2) Run catalaog maintenance utility to reset the pending timestamp in header segment in catalog

3) Run catalog purge utility with pending timestamp to purge the instance in catalog 

Which is very tidious if there are lot of components to be cleaned up.

 

I would like to see that simple DDL DROP with STAGE option to do all the above 3 steps in  ZOS DDL batch utility.
