Enhance IMS FP Tools to provide automated recommendations for optimal DEDB tuning parameters.

When using IMS FP Tools for DEDB tuning with FPA, the tool should be enhanced to analyze the following data from the DB Pointer Checker report and provide direct recommendations for optimal UOW, ROOT parameters, and ADS allocation size:

  1. Overflow usage
  2. Free space availability
  3. Free space relationship
  4. Root I/O
  5. Record I/O
  6. Synonym chain

Based on this analysis, the tool should provide recommendations for:

  • Optimal UOW size: Suggest the ideal size of a unit of work to balance performance and space utilization.
  • ROOT parameter tuning: Recommend adjustments to ROOT parameters to improve I/O efficiency and reduce contention.
  • ADS allocation size: Suggest the appropriate size for additional storage segments to accommodate growth and optimize space utilization.

Thank you.
