    Dear Ms. Mendes:

Thank you for submitting this IMS enhancement request.
After giving the request a comprehensive review, we have determined that we cannot include it as a candidate in an upcoming release because it is not consistent with the product architecture and our strategy for future releases.
As a consequence we have, unfortunately, rejected this request.

An alternate solution is to use the CSL OM Input User exit to reject or modify commands that are received from an Operations Manager (OM) client.
Documentation for CSL OM user exit routines:
    http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/dzichelp/v2r2/topic/com.ibm.ims11.doc.err/ims_cslom_exits.htm

We appreciate your input to the IMS development team. We also hope that you will continue to submit ideas for improvements as customer feedback is a key component to shaping the future direction of IMS.

    Sincerely,
    Luanne Hong

Unfortunately a sample OM Input User exit is not provided with the product.

    Thanks for information.
Please, we would like to know the name of sample OM input user exit suggested in this RFE to that we can analyse it. Is there a sample of this ?
    Best regards.

Based on your requirement, our understanding is that you want to prevent a user from issuing a QUERY TRAN NAME(*) command or any other type-2 command with NAME(*) specified. If that is the case you can use the OM Input User exit to reject or modify commands that are received from an Operations Manager (OM) client. For example, the customer can use the OM Input User exit to reject or modify QUERY commands (or any other commands) that come in with NAME(*) specified.

The OM Input User exit is called to allow a user to view and manipulate command input from an OM automation client. This exit is optional.
This exit is called for the following event:
OM receives a command. This exit is called before OM processes the command, which allows the command to be modified or rejected.

Please let us know if this solution will work for you.
