This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM Z Software products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

The customer needs IMS to be able to start subsystems SSM members dinamically when an external subsystem is having issues. Currently, if a sick subsystem is causing problems, issuing a /STO SUBSYS on the sick subsystem and /STA SUBSYS on another SSM member will still point the dependent regions using the group attach name back to the previous SSM. Only after restarting IMS is that the desired SSM member is picked by the dependent regions.

Thank you for your interest in keeping IMS a vital and successful product. Software development has continuously evolved during IMS's lifetime, and so has IMS itself. We have kept pace with, adopted, and implemented many industry standard best practices within our organization, including Continuous Delivery, Design Thinking, and Agile.
When choosing new features to add from the list of requirements in our backlog, we assess which will bring the most value to as many clients as possible and prioritize those.
After further investigation, we have decided to close it from an enhancement perspective. The reason we are rejecting RFE ID 150027 is because after further analysis with the limited documentation we have, the related issue appears to be service item or a potential user error. If described issue still exists, please open a case with our service team such that more in-depth analysis can be performed. Thank you!
If there is any further question, feel free to contact us at any time.
Thank you.
