This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM Z Software products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

Reinstating this RFE from rejection after further internal discussion.
We reviewed this RFE and at this point in time we will not be able to address this request in the near future. For this reason, we are removing this RFE. If you would like to discuss this further please contact, Daphne Isom, email: dsteele4@us.ibm.com.
Banca d'Italia is an additional Customer interested in this.
I am adding them as I/P to this RFE as a conseguence of the discussion held with IMS Lab Colleagues and Developers for Pmr 69160,842,758 .
The Pmr was dealing with a case where QBUF's could not even reach the QBUFMAX value (or when QBUFMAX was set to 0) and QBUF expansion failed because available storage was exhausted.
So it has been decided to issue a message either when QBUFMAX is reached (or a certain precentage x% of QBUFMAX has been reached where x% has been supplied through a new parameter) or, if no QBUFMAX is specified, when expansion fails.
The original request was for an informational message when QBUFMAX has been reached but I suggest a better solution would be a parameter to allow for an informational message when x% of QBUFMAX has been reached. This would give the user a chance ot react.
Changed Visibility to 'Public' as per customer request.
