XPCS workarea allocated in 24 bit storage causing subsequent program load failures.

When the CDC exit gets loaded it is in the dependent
regions storage and the XPCB and XSDB control blocks are in the
dependent region private storage according to the AMODE of the exit.
.
The XPCS workarea is being allocated in only 24 bit storage and once there stays there, in this case splitting available storage. Subsequent program loads requiring storage greater than that available before or after the placement of the XPCS page then fail with resultant customer impact. MPP region then has to be rolled before subsequent program can load and execute.

    Dear Mr. McAuliffe,

    Sorry for the delay in responding to your requirement.

    I've done some research on this RFE and noticed that it and APAR PI52182 came from the same PMR. The PMR shows that there was a discussion on whether this would be a enhancement or a defect in IMS. Initially the technical support team requested an enhancement but later changed their mind and accepted an APAR. Is this RFE enhancement still needed if the problem reported in APAR PI52182 is resolved?
