Full implementation of identity propagation of IMS

Hi, we need to have the possibility to propagate the identity principal from WebSphere applicaiton server/Liberty on open side to IMS transaction call using IMS Connector. Similar to what already is permitted with CTG.


This to avoid, for calling that start from an already secured client, to have to re-enter password or passticket.


The actual solution provided by IMS 15.1 is not sufficient, because it's only for audit purpose, we need this for security, that the transaction called is able to be invoked with the userid propagated inside the identity credential provided by websphere application server and translated by RACMAP RACF functionality.

    Thank you for your interest. Based on our conversation, we would be rejecting this idea as the requested enhancement is desired for IMS Connect instead of the IMS TM resource adapter. We will be taking your request to be reviewed with the corresponding team.

    Thank you for your interest in keeping IMS a vital and successful product. Software development has continuously evolved during IMS's lifetime, and so has IMS itself. We have kept pace with, adopted, and implemented many industry standard best practices within our organization, including Continuous Delivery, Design Thinking, and Agile.
    When choosing new features to add from the list of requirements in our backlog, we assess which will bring the most value to as many clients as possible and prioritize those.
    After reviewing this request for enhancement, we have some additional questions and need clarification. We would be reaching out and request for additional information.
