Include Websphere application names (SMF1209EY)

See this idea on ideas.ibm.com

The original request was to add Websphere application names.

The customer added this text in a later email.

I decided to look at Vision WebSphere reporting to see what is there as opposed to what was originally requested (and we still need). <dashboard available on request> These reports are basically rehashes of one another and show some interesting things.

  1. The customer uses only HTTP, HTTPS, MDB Plan A and MDB Plan C request types in their reporting
  2. MDB Plan C uses field SM1209EY for its reporting.  This is the field currently used to determine the application names.  The customer used it for all request types, not just MDB C
  3. HTTP types can be resolved into the plan names except for the additional URIs that occur on weekends.  We get some names that the original requestor did not have – because they have no SM1209EY information – and one of them has to have it’s suffix specially changed but the only real issue is all the extra entries seen on the weekend

The upshot of this leads to two possibly independent asks.

  1. Since we know field SM1209EY is referenced in the code, is it possible to add a new field in data collection so it is reported for all request types, not simply used to populate the “Host or target address” variable when the report type is MDB Plan C?
